Xbox HDMI repair — common questions

Do you repair the Series S as well as the Series X?

Both, at the same $189 price. It is the same board-level job either way — the Series S board is just smaller and a little tighter to work on.

Will a new port fix flickering, or only a fully black screen?

Both. Flicker, dropouts, and a picture that dies when the cable moves are usually cracked solder joints or worn contacts in the port, which is exactly what the replacement fixes. Free diagnosis confirms it before you are billed anything.

How do I know it is the port and not my cable or my TV?

Try a different HDMI cable and a different input or TV first — that rules out the two cheapest causes in a minute. If the console still shows no signal, or the picture cuts out when you nudge the cable, the port is the likely fault. Diagnosis is free either way.

Will my games, saves, and Game Pass account survive?

Yes. Replacing the HDMI port is work on the port and the pads under it — your storage, saves, and account are never touched, because we repair your board instead of swapping it. Back up anyway; that is just good practice.

Do I need to send my controller, cables, or power cord?

No — send the console only. We have every cable, power supply, and test display the repair needs. Extra items add weight and risk in transit; if your repair does need an accessory, it will be listed on your packing slip.
