Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026.

This is the privacy policy for Iron Point Repair LLC, a one-person mail-in game console repair shop in Bozeman, Montana. It is written in plain English on purpose. The short version: we collect only what we need to fix your console and ship it back, we never sell it, and you can see or delete it yourself at any time.

What we collect

We only collect information you give us directly. There is no hidden collection going on behind the scenes.

  • Repair intake form: your name, email, phone number, return shipping address, device details, a description of the problem, and (optionally) whether you want SMS updates.
  • Contact form: your name, email, and message.
  • Email correspondence: if you email us about a repair, those messages are stored as a thread attached to your repair ticket so we have the full history of your job in one place.

How we use it

Your information is used to do the job you asked us to do: review your repair request, communicate with you about it (email, and SMS only if you opted in), ship your device back to the address you gave us, and honor your 90-day warranty. That is the whole list. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you.

Who else touches it

We run lean, so a few services handle data on our behalf:

  • Stripe — payments. When you pay, you pay through a Stripe payment link. Card numbers go straight to Stripe; our site never sees or stores them.
  • Resend — email delivery. Sends our transactional emails (repair status updates, receipts, and the like), which means it processes your email address and message content in transit.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, the Turnstile anti-spam check on our forms, and Web Analytics. Our site and database run on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and referrers without cookies and without collecting any personal data — it cannot identify you.

Those are the only three. Each processes data solely to provide their service to us — none of them get your data for their own marketing.

What we don't do

  • No advertising trackers.
  • No analytics cookies — our only analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless and anonymous.
  • No selling or sharing of your personal data with anyone, period.
  • The only third-party scripts on the site are Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection on our forms) and Cloudflare Web Analytics (anonymous, cookieless traffic counts).

How long we keep it

We keep repair ticket data while your 90-day warranty runs and while ordinary business record obligations require it. Contact form messages are kept as long as the conversation is relevant. If you would rather not wait, you can delete your data yourself — see the next section.

Your access & deletion rights

You can view, download (as JSON), and delete your data yourself at ironpointrepair.com/your-data. Enter your email and we send you a verified link — no account or password needed. A few honest caveats about deletion:

  • Deletion anonymizes your personal details (name, email, phone, address, message contents) rather than erasing the ticket entirely.
  • Tickets for repairs currently in progress can be deleted only after the repair is completed — we need your address to ship your console back.
  • We retain minimal financial and warranty records: the ticket ID, status, amounts, and dates. No personal details stay attached to them.

Children

This site is a repair shop for game consoles, not a service directed at children. It is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something this policy says we do not do.
