Steam Deck work runs through ourboard-level micro-soldering service — every job is diagnosed first and quoted before repair. Here’s what typically lands on the bench:

USB-C charge port replacement

The Deck’s charge port takes constant plug cycles between dock, charger, and accessories. We remove the worn port and solder a new one at the board level.

Won’t charge or charges intermittently

When a new port isn’t the answer, the fault sits in the power-delivery circuit. We test the actual components rather than swapping parts on hope.

Won’t turn on

No logo, no fan, no response — typically a short or failed component on a power rail. Our diagnosis pins it down before any money changes hands.

  4. Repair, test, return

    Fixed, verified through full charge and boot cycles, and shipped back free with tracking.

Why is Steam Deck repair quote-based instead of flat-rate?

Steam Deck failures vary more than console failures — the same "won’t charge" symptom can be a worn USB-C port, a failed power-delivery IC, or battery-related. So we diagnose first, free, and quote the actual fault. A $50 diagnostic credit is applied to the repair when you go ahead.

My Steam Deck won’t charge. What usually fails?

Most often the USB-C port itself — its pins wear from daily dock and cable cycles — followed by the power-delivery circuit behind it. Both are board-level repairs we handle under the microscope, and your quote will name exactly which one you need.

Which models do you take?

Both the LCD and OLED Steam Deck. The boards differ, but the repair approach is the same: microscope diagnosis, component-level fix, and a full charge-and-boot test before return.

What do I pay before the quote?

Only the $40 deposit (after we approve your request) and inbound shipping. The deposit credits toward your total. Diagnosis is free, the repair carries a 90-day warranty, and return shipping is on us.
