Hi — I'm the person who fixes your console.
Iron Point Repair is a one-person shop. When you mail in a console, it lands on my bench, under my microscope, and it doesn't leave until I've tested it to full output.

Why board-level repair?
Most shops handle a dead HDMI port one of two ways: they swap the entire motherboard, or they decline the job. Both are answers to the wrong question. The port failed — the board is fine. So I replace the port. Micro-soldering under a microscope, with the right equipment and the patience to do it cleanly, costs less than a board swap and keeps your original hardware (and your data) intact. We fix boards other shops replace.
Credentials, briefly
- Expert micro-solderer. Board-level work is what I do — HDMI ports, USB-C charge ports, and retimer ICs, replaced under magnification and inspected joint by joint.
- Mechanical engineering background. I approach every repair like an engineering problem: diagnose the actual fault, fix the root cause, verify the result.
- Tested before it ships back. Every console goes back only after it passes a full output test — and you see photo proof of the finished work before you pay the balance.
How I run the shop
Diagnosis is free, every repair carries a 90-day warranty, and you get photos of the completed work before any balance is due. No surprise charges, no "we'll see what we find" pricing — you approve the quote or your console comes back to you. Turnaround is typically 2–3 business days on the bench once your deposit and console arrive, plus shipping.
